Off and Running

The first group of the top 36 got started tonight and here is my take:

Jackie Tohn started the night by annoying the holy piss out of me. I don't care how well she can sing. She's annoying and so I say let's vote her off the island soon. Wait a minute, that's a different show...

Ricky Braddy did a fine job as he is really likeable. I see him going through to the top. He just needs to polish his act a little.

Alexis Grace chose a poor song for her. Not only did she look like she was dressing up in mama's clothes, she was singing a song that was too big for her.

I would have liked Brent Keith if she had sang some other type of country song. I've never heard the song he sang and I don't particularly like that type of country song. He has the voice, but he needs to find a better song.

Stevie Wright ruined her dream. She totally sucked. Why do these people pick these horrible songs to sing?

Anoop picked a nice song and he sounded good, too.

Casey Carlson sounded bad and she was making funny faces. She's not going to make it.

Michael Sarver was okay. I thought he'd be better. Maybe nerves got to him.

Ann Marie Boskovich didn't do bad, but she just wasn't anything special.

How did Stephen Fowler make it this far? Not good.

Tatiana del Toro, perhaps the most notorious wannabe from the auditions, sounded really great. She may have stolen the show. Crazy can sing.

I've liked Danny Gokey through the whole process. I'm not sure he was good enough to be in the top 2 though. We'll see.
